When a concern feels too broad to act on, it can help to slow down and put the pieces on paper. The Problem-Solving Workbook guides you through one issue at a time: notice how you view it, describe the facts and your goal, list possible responses before weighing them, and consider what fits your values. The action plan uses optional SMART prompts, followed by a one-week try and review. There is no score or right answer.
The 26-page pack comes as seven printable PDF files in both A4 and US Letter. The files include a 1-page cover, 2-page Start Here, 10-page Worksheets, 4-page Trackers, 3-page Quick Reference, 3-page Guide, 2-page Professional Guide, and 1-page Credits and References. Worksheets cover each step, a one-page quick solve, a fictional example, and a stuck page. Trackers include a practice log, check-ins, and reviews; the reference pages have a next-step flow and cut-out cards. The Guide explains the method and its limits.
You can take the first four steps in one sitting, then return to plan and try a response, or follow the six-week path in Start Here. Reprint the trackers as needed and use the one-page quick solve for a smaller issue or another run. At the end, you have your own written description, options, chosen next step, and review to keep, adjust, or bring to a conversation with a qualified professional.

What it is not
For educational self-reflection, not diagnosis or treatment, and not a substitute for professional care. Problem-solving therapy was developed by Thomas J. D'Zurilla and Marvin R. Goldfried, later refined with Arthur M. Nezu; SMART is credited to George T. Doran.
Questions people ask
Does the Problem-Solving Workbook give me a score?
No. The pages do not calculate a score or rate your problem-solving ability. They help you record your view of one concern, describe it, consider options, and review what happened. The written record is for reflection and planning, not diagnosis or prediction.
Can I print the workbook on A4 or US Letter paper?
Yes. The pack is provided as printable PDF files in both A4 and US Letter. It contains seven files totaling 26 pages: the cover, Start Here, Worksheets, Trackers, Quick Reference, Guide, Professional Guide, and Credits and References.
How often should I use the Problem-Solving Workbook?
Start Here suggests working through the early worksheets, then trying a plan for one week and reviewing what happened. Its six-week path offers one small block each week, including a later quick solve and six-week review. You can copy the path if restarting with another problem.
