Want to write about what you appreciate but find a blank page hard to begin? Gratitude Journal & Practice Workbook offers optional starting points across Health & Body, Relationships, Daily Moments, Skills & Abilities, and Opportunities. There is no score, required number of entries, or set schedule. The pages help you record reflections and notice which prompts you chose; they do not measure gratitude, mood, well-being, or progress.
The download contains eight PDF files, each supplied in A4 and US Letter, for 32 pages per size: Cover (1), Start Here (2), Worksheets (16), Trackers (4), Quick Reference (2), Guide (3), Clinician Guide (3), and Credits and References (1). Worksheets include quick and full session forms, prompt libraries, a weekly counting-blessings page, a one-line option, and a stuck page. The four trackers are a practice log, six-week habit grid, category balance, and six-week review. Quick Reference adds a 10-minute session sheet and cut-out pocket cards; the Guide explains the research limits in plain English.
Use a prompt when it helps, write a few short lines, and close by noting the session in the practice log. The suggested six-week path offers a gentle structure, with room to pause or continue after a missed week; it is a habit aid, not a research-established schedule. Reprint pages marked for copying as needed. Over time, you will have your own written reflections, a record of sessions, and a review of what you want to keep.
What you get
- Start with 75 optional prompts in five named libraries when choosing a subject feels difficult.
- Quick session and full session worksheets let you choose a shorter or more reflective writing format.
- Track sessions in the practice log and mark a six-week habit grid at your own pace.
- Use the category balance page and six-week review to look back at your chosen prompts and routine.
- Keep the 10-minute Quick Reference nearby, or cut out pocket cards with sample prompt starters.
What it is not
For educational self-reflection only; it is not a diagnosis or treatment and does not replace professional care. Robert A. Emmons and Michael E. McCullough (2003) studied the counting-blessings exercise; the prompts and pages were created for Neuroviax Academy and have not been tested as an intervention. Personal use and professional reuse with your own clients are permitted; group, institutional, and commercial licenses are separate products.
Questions people ask
Is the gratitude journal free, and what am I paying for?
The pack credits the counting-blessings exercise studied by Emmons and McCullough, while the prompts, categories, and sheets were created for Neuroviax Academy. It includes the printable worksheets, trackers, prompt cards, and guides; the Credits page permits personal use and professional reuse with your own clients.
How does this gratitude workbook score my answers?
It does not calculate a score or provide score bands. The journal records written reflections, and the five prompt categories are navigation aids rather than validated subscales. Entries do not measure gratitude, mood, well-being, or treatment progress, so there is no total to interpret.
Can I print the gratitude workbook on A4 or US Letter?
Yes. The pack provides its eight PDF files in both A4 and US Letter. Each size has the same page counts: Cover 1, Start Here 2, Worksheets 16, Trackers 4, Quick Reference 2, Guide 3, Clinician Guide 3, and Credits and References 1, for 32 pages total per size.
