Wondering what your answers to the DAST-10 mean, or how to keep track without turning a score into a label? This workbook gives adults a quiet, paper-based way to answer the ten questions about drug use and related problems during the past 12 months. It explains the score as a starting point for reflection, not a diagnosis, and makes room to consider what you want to do next. Alcohol and tobacco are outside the DAST-10.
The 33-page pack is provided as PDFs in both A4 and US Letter. Start Here maps the files and a six-week path; Measures contains the questionnaire, scoring steps, and a worked example. The three-page Guide explains the five score bands and the limits of screening. Thirteen worksheet pages help you notice patterns, consider costs and supports, choose one small step, and prepare for a professional visit. Four tracker pages include a score history chart, score log, weekly check-in, and monthly overview. Quick Reference has the bands and a keep-this card, while the Clinician Guide is for professionals. Credits and References names the instrument and sources.
Work through the pages at your own pace over several weeks. The suggested path repeats the questionnaire in weeks 1, 3, and 6, with space to plot scores and check in between; repeat forms can be printed again as needed. Use only the pages that feel useful, and pause if a prompt feels like too much. You finish with a written record of responses, reflections, and a small next step, plus a concise summary you can bring to a professional conversation.

Questions people ask
How do I score the DAST-10 in this workbook?
The Measures pages explain the scoring steps: each Yes earns one point except item 3, where No earns one point. The score ranges from 0 to 10 and is grouped into five descriptive bands. The Guide says a screening result is not a diagnosis.
Can I print this DAST-10 workbook on A4 or US Letter paper?
Yes. The printable workbook files are supplied as PDFs in both A4 and US Letter, and the pack has 33 pages in each size. The Trackers include repeat forms that you can print again as needed.
How often should I repeat the DAST-10?
The Start Here path suggests answering in weeks 1, 3, and 6, then plotting each result on the score history chart. It is a practical schedule in this workbook, not a clinical requirement; the Guide says a score should be understood in context.
